nostalgia feels good and bad.

ive read and watched a lot of love stories. saw it with my own bare eyes.
of course i expected every story to end happily. i always believe happy endings are inevitable.
but soon, i realized not all stories have happy endings. some ended sadly.
and as i think through it. i realized its not about if the story ended happy or not. its about the feelings the two person felt when they are in love.. when they are together. its about finding your true love, and experiencing true happiness with that person.
it doesnt matter if at the end you two broke up and part ways.
it doesnt matter if you were left with a broken heart forever.
what matters is that in your life, you once felt that 'magic' in love people always talks about.. the 'spark'. that once in your life, you can say you found and experience being in love.. being truly happy.
it doesnt matter that you didnt get youre happy ending fairytale always talks about.
fairytale isnt about happy ending anyway, its about how once upon a time you loved someone unconditionally.
this is a certain entry i wrote from my 2008 journal. (and yes i put time and date to my journals. lol) the 14 year old in me. i dont know what i was thinking that time. i dont know how could ive been writing about love at that age. lol. but its nice to know that i once believed that there is hope for everyone of us. i dont know if i still believe on that now. i hope that deep inside me i still do. i still want to.
anyway, i decided to post this because i somehow think it relates with the stories i have been reading. stories that doesnt have happy endings. Dear John by Nicholas Sparks, Conversation between us and The joy of being happy by Solangel, and Love, Stargirl by Jodi Picoult.
sometimes, i wish that they ended happy... that Savannah had chosen to wait for John, that Jaewon and Seunghyun didnt have to die, that Leo had fought for his feelings for Stargirl. because it just really hurts me that even in books.. happy endings cant exist.
it hurts that life is unfair in all ways.
it hurts that the 14 year old me already died.
